Adelphia Road Co-Mentoring

A good excuse to have discussions about God.

The purpose of the Adelphia Road study is to entreat Christian women to a deeper level of learning, honoring their God-given intellect and natural abilities to study and reason. It is our goal to encourage women to think theologically, to apply what they learn to their lives immediately, and to be able to reason with each other respectfully about issues of faith. We believe that God has intended his beloved daughters to know him through excellent study and sharing life with other Christian women.

Because many woman cannot commit to meeting every week, Adlephia Road will meet for the large group teaching on one specified day/evening per month for 9 months. These teaching times are meant to introduce one new topic for thought and study that will inform four weekly lessons that individuals are to complete before the next large group meeting.

Because the most effective learning happens in small group settings, each woman will be taking this journey with up to three travel partners. Groups will agree at the onset to the terms of the study and will meet to discuss life and the application of lessons learned.

Because Jesus commanded us to go and make disciples (which by definition are students of the One Teacher, Jesus), each woman will bring her own personality and experiences to her small accountability group where she may experience the love, concern and care of true Christian sisters who are learning with her. Each participant will also have access to the Adelphia Road Blog where she may find more information on the topic as well as a place to comment and post questions.

Please join us on August 17 for a special introduction session where you will get an overview, have a place to ask questions and maybe meet some women who share your interest in mentoring and discipleship. Sessions are at 11:30 am and 7:00 pm. Please try to come! To help us plan refreshments, please RSVP here.

The Armor of God

All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you — unseen, unheard, yet felt throughout every aspect of your life. A devoted, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you: your heart, your mind, your marriage, your children, your relationships, your resilience, your dreams, your destiny. But his battle plan depends on catching you unaware and unarmed. If you’re tired of being pushed around and caught with your guard down, this study is for you.

The Enemy always fails miserably when he meets a woman dressed for the occasion. The Armor of God, more than merely a biblical description of the believer’s inventory, is an action plan for putting it on and developing a personalized strategy to secure victory. (7 Sessions)
